DRIVER ALERTNESS SAVES LIVES OF PASSENGERS IN ASANSOL BUS FIRE

Webdesk, TNI Asansol, 22nd June, 2015: Many lives of a Ranchi-bound tourist bus was saved when the bus driver stopped the bus at the heart of Asansol town after getting a hint that the bus caught at its rear end. The incident happened at around 10.00 am today when the bus was passing through Asansol town of Burdwan district. It was a packed bus which was leaving for Ranchi when the incident happened according to the police sources. According to the onlookers, there was a fire fighting engine, which ultimately managed to douse the flames.
It is reported that though the lives of the passengers were saved but their luggage was burned to ashes, that was kept locked in the rear end of the bus. The incident happened in the Bhanga Pachil area of Asansol town. No casualty was reported in the fire as the driver forced all the passengers to alight from the bus. According to the Fire Department, in primary circumstances, there is a chance of short circuit in the wiring that may have caused the fire in the bus.
